Same server, same world, new name. The server's address is now mc.tinwhale.com; the old address spuds.tinwhale.com keeps working for a while.
Action needed: install pack 1.5.0 before you join. Everyone needs it: the server's own mod changed, and older packs can't connect. The join guide shows how (a new instance, or a quick swap of four files if you are on 1.4.0).
Rename your server list entry
In Multiplayer, select the server → Edit → set the name to Spooky's Pokémon Dungeon and the address to mc.tinwhale.com → Done.
Improvements8
Server New name and new address: mc.tinwhale.com. The old address works for a while longer.
Pack Pack 1.5.0 is called Spooky's Pokémon Dungeon in your launcher and has a new icon.
Shops New names: Spooky Coins (were Spudbucks) and the Coin Trader.
Dungeon menu The Spuds menu (` key) is now the Dungeon menu.
Quests The Spuds Guide chapter is now the Dungeon Guide, and the quest titles got spooky new names.
The rematch trainers are down to the 25 named characters: the Gym Leaders, the Elite Four, Professor Oak and the other familiar faces. The 36 generic trainers (Ace Trainers, Swimmers, Crush Girls, the Three Island Rocket goons and the rest) are gone.
Improvements5
Trainers 36 generic rematch trainers removed.
Trainers Everyone's rematch progress starts over from "just beat the Champion": the postgame path begins again at Brock, and each rematch pays its first-win prize again. Your Champion win and everything before it stay.
Trainers The Tracker's postgame path now only lists the trainers that are left, so it never points you at one that isn't there.
Trainers Rematch trainers' Pokémon have EVs again, now with a spread that fits each one's job: fast attackers max Speed, walls max bulk, Trick Room teams stay slow.
Shops The Saffron City Poké Mart now sells Honey Bottles, so every Poké Snack ingredient is in one place. Cook the snack in a Campfire Pot and add your own seasonings.
A Pokémon with Flame Body, Magma Armor or Steam Engine that you awakened with Legend Essence now makes the eggs in your party hatch four times as fast while it leads your party. Legendary Pokémon with Flame Body, such as Heatran and Moltres, do the same when they lead.
In any other party slot it is still twice as fast, like any Flame Body.
Several of them don't add up: one awakened lead gives 4×, and more Flame Bodies don't make it faster.
/lead ability flamebody and the Lead tab show the new speed.
The Saffron City Poké Mart now sells every Pokédoll that can turn up in a chest, in two new tabs: Pokédolls and Shiny Pokédolls. That covers 182 dolls, Pokéblocks and figurines. The rarer a doll is in chests, the more it costs:
Common 20,000, Uncommon 40,000, Rare 80,000, Epic 150,000 and Legendary 300,000 Spudbucks
Shiny dolls and the figurines: 500,000 Spudbucks
Gigantic dolls are not for sale. You still craft them from four small dolls and wool.
The rows of trainers at spawn and the rematch field east of the Training Hall are gone. Every one of those trainers now stands in a town.
Where they went
Kanto League (Elite Four, Champion Terry, Team Rocket and your rival): Pewter City, around the spawn plaza.
Sinnoh (gym leaders, Elite Four, Champion Cynthia, Team Galactic and your rival): Fuchsia City, about 800 blocks north of spawn.
Unbound (gym leaders, Elite Four, Champion Jax, the villains and your rival): Saffron City, about 700 blocks west of spawn. The title-defense lawn stays where it is.
Rematch trainers: inside the gyms of 30 towns up to about 5 km from spawn, two to a gym, with Red on his own. A good excuse to go exploring.
They are the same trainers, so your wins and progress carry over. This is their home for now.
Improvements1
Quests The Spuds Guide now says where everyone is (from the next server restart).
Trainers now play with Radical Cobblemon Trainers' own AI, every rematch is a Hardcore fight, and every trainer and legendary has its own battle music. Plus a new set of mods, a starter kit for new players, a training progress row, new tricks for Giadude, and slower hunger.
Action needed: install the new Spuds pack (1.4.0) before you join. The old pack will not connect any more, and an update in place is not enough: import the pack again as a NEW instance (Modrinth app, Prism, or the CurseForge zip), then bring your settings over from the old instance (key bindings, video and sound settings, server list, map and waypoints, mod settings): the join guide at https://spuds.tinwhale.com/ shows the few files to copy. Your Pokémon, items and progress are on the server and stay. The first start downloads about 640 MB, so give it a few minutes. If your server list says "Spuds: new pack needed (1.4.0)", you are still on the old pack. On Windows one PowerShell line does the copying for you (see the guide).
New trainers and battles
Smarter trainers, the proper way. Every trainer (wild trainers, Gym Leaders, the League, the rematches, the Training Hall and the Money Maker) now uses Radical Cobblemon Trainers' own AI. This replaces the Run & Bun AI from the last update: they heal, switch, use Mega Evolution, Z-moves and Terastallizing, and play doubles properly.
Hardcore rematches. The rematch trainers now fight by Radical Red's Hardcore rules:
No items from your bag during the battle. The trainers still keep two Full Restores.
82 moves are banned for you (and their Z-move versions), and a few hidden abilities are swapped for ordinary ones.
The weather or terrain their Pokémon set stays for the whole battle.
56 of the rematch teams were rebuilt from the Hardcore sheet. Expect tougher teams.
Each Hardcore trainer has a twist: Brock takes a third less from super effective hits; Lt. Surge's Pokémon float on Magnet Rise, and his own Electric Terrain still helps those floating Pokémon (the power boost, and no falling asleep); Erika's Grass moves hit harder and ignore immunities; Pryce fights under a permanent Trick Room; Whitney's Pokémon start poisoned or burned; Ketchup has a permanent Tailwind and his second team won't go down above 75% HP; Falkner fights under a Delta Stream, Archer under Desolate Land, and Gian under rain. Clair's rematch is now a double battle.
Oak's two fights are chained properly. You must beat Oak 1 before you can fight Oak 2, and a fresh win on Oak 1 is needed each time.
Music for everyone. Gym Leaders, Elite Four, Champions, rivals, villain bosses and Red now fight to their own tracks, rematches have their own themes, and wild legendaries, mythicals, Ultra Beasts and paradox Pokémon play a special theme. Needs the new pack.
Rematch trainers look like themselves. 95 rematch trainers now wear their character's picture instead of a plain skin. Needs the new pack.
Rematches in their home towns. Clair is back in the Viridian gym, Misty in the Cerulean gym and Gian in the Saffron gym.
Giadude has new tricks. He now Terastallizes and Dynamaxes. He is also back in the trainer lists.
Title defense. The eight Unbound champions defend their titles on the lawn south of Saffron City, and you may beat them as often as you like once you have beaten Champion Jax.
Gym leaders' towns that were damaged have been repaired, and every story trainer now has a fixed home.
New players
Starter kit. The first time you join you get 5 Poké Balls, 5 Potions and 5,000 Spudbucks.
A guided first hour. The First Steps chapter of the Spuds Guide now walks you through your starter, first catch, first shop visit (Window Shopper: 3,000 Spudbucks and a Super Potion) and first trainer battle (First Trainer Battle: 3,000 Spudbucks and 3 Potions). New players see it as soon as the guide pop-up opens.
Training
EV progress in the Training tab. Each planned Pokémon shows a row like "2 of 8 wins, Atk 68/252".
Chat tells you when a target is reached and when to turn EV gains off for that Pokémon.
EV progress at fight start. The level-cap line at the start of an EV fight now also shows how far you are.
New mods
Legends Z-A Megas. New Mega Stones for Darkrai, Heatran, Magearna, Tatsugiri, Zeraora and Zygarde, sold in the Saffron mart for 100,000 each.
A stone alone does nothing. To Mega Evolve (any Mega, old or new) you also need a Mega Bracelet or a ring (Omni Ring and the other bracelets and rings), held in your hand or worn in an Accessories slot. They are sold in the Saffron mart for 50,000 each.
Zygardite only works on a Complete Zygarde. Find Zygarde Cells in the chests of Mega Showdown structures (observatories, archaeological sites, the Wishing Weald) and craft the Zygarde Cube to put them together.
One out-of-battle Mega left on in your party or PC stops in-battle Megas for your other Pokémon: turn it back first.
Tips. The loading screen shows almost 60 Spuds tips.
Furniture and building. Handcrafted furniture, Comforts (hammocks and sleeping bags), Rechiseled (extra block shapes). Napping in a hammock by day does not start a sleep vote.
Pokeblocks. About 350 Pokémon decoration blocks and dolls (found in structure chests, craftable as giant dolls).
Better Pokédex Scanner. Scan Pokémon in the world to fill your Pokédex. Our own NeoForge port.
TMCraft. Craft TMs and discs from your own materials. These TMs are TMCraft's own: they do not turn into Cobblemon TMs.
Badges and Trophies. Your 56 badges stay. Six new trophies join them: Elite Four, Champion Terry, Cynthia, Jax, Red and the Terry rematch, as gold cups coloured by region (Kanto red, Sinnoh blue, Unbound purple). One trophy can sit in the ribbon slot of your Badge Box; the rest stay in your inventory. If you already won any of them, you get the trophy once, free, the next time you log in.
Ping Wheel (point at things for your friends), Packet Fixer (fewer lag-induced disconnects) and Cobblemon PlayerXP (winning battles gives a little vanilla XP, at half the default amount).
Neruina. A crashing mob or block no longer takes the server down; it is frozen and announced in chat to everyone.
Client mods in the pack: Catch Indicator and Catch Rate Display (see if a Pokémon is caught and your odds), More Cobblemon Tweaks, minimap icons for Pokémon, Controlling (search your key binds), Music Notification (now shows the right song names) and AppleSkin (see hunger and food values).
Faster game. ImmediatelyFast, BadOptimizations and Particle Core.
Looks. Seven cosmetic packs for Cobblemon's interface, PC wallpapers, grass, ores and Poké Rods, all switched on for you.
Overworld Pokémon music. Puff Radio plays Pokémon music while you explore, on by default.
Quality of life
Slower hunger. Your food bar drains at half speed; eating still matters.
Cobblemon 1.8.4. The server and pack move to Cobblemon 1.8.4 and Mega Showdown 1.3.3 (new textures, spawn fixes). Your Pokémon are not affected.
Steel Roller and Ice Spinner against a locked field now say so: "The electric current keeps running across the battlefield!"
Fixes4
Battles Archer's Desolate Land no longer shows a raw text key every turn.
Battles Defog and G-Max Wind Rage against a locked terrain now print the same line as Steel Roller.
Money Maker Money Maker trainers keep their own AI.
Quests The Spuds Guide has two new rows of quests (the rematch circuit, Hardcore rules, the Hardcore twists, title defense, battle music and looks, Ping Wheel, battle XP, the six new Megas, the Pokédex Scanner, furniture, Little Helpers, badges and trophies), and its pop-up shows once more to everyone.
Beat Champion Terry and a whole field of rematch trainers opens up: Radical Red's postgame bosses, the Kanto Gym Leaders, and new Elite Four and Champion rematches, all at Lv 100. And every trainer now battles with a much smarter AI. Nothing to install: it's all on the server.
Where
In the field just east of the Training Hall, about 120 blocks from spawn. Signs name each group after its place in Radical Red: Oak's Lab, Pokémon Tower, Kindle Road, Mt. Ember, Berry Forest, Bond Bridge, Three Island, Cerulean Cave and more. The Gym Leader, Elite Four and Champion rematches stand next to the Kanto League rows.
Who
The Gym Leader rematches: Brock, Misty, Lt. Surge and Erika.
Radical Red's postgame: Oak (twice), Clair, Misty, Falkner, Gian, Pryce, Morty, Bugsy, Whitney, Archer, Ariana, the Pokémon Tower gauntlet, everyone on the Sevii Islands, Ketchup in Cerulean Cave, and Red at the end of Kindle Road.
New League rematches: Lorelei, Bruno, Agatha, Lance and Champion Terry, with teams of our own in the same style.
Every team is Radical Red's own, at Lv 100, with real held items and spreads.
Rules
They open once you've beaten Champion Terry. That stays true after you switch to BDSP or Unbound: you can come back any time, and your Pokémon fight them at their real level (no level cap here).
Your first win against each one pays Spudbucks. Refights give items only.
Some fights have a twist, as in Radical Red:
Brock's sandstorm, Misty's rain, Archer's sun, Lt. Surge's Electric Terrain and Erika's Grassy Terrain last the whole battle, and you can't replace them.
Whitney fights an Inverse Battle: the type chart is flipped.
Spirit's Pokémon start with +1 in every stat.
Against Pryce (a double battle) your first three Pokémon start frostbitten, and his Kyurem turns into Kyurem-White after his first Pokémon faints.
Clair won't battle you while you carry a Fairy type.
Beat Oak and his second team comes straight at you, with no heal in between.
12 of them are double battles, Mik & Kia and Gian among them.
Every trainer plays smarter
All trainers now battle with the Run & Bun AI: wild trainers, gym leaders, the League, the rematches, and the Training Hall and Money Maker trainers too. They pick their moves with damage in mind and play doubles properly, so expect a real fight.
Finished steps no longer fill up your training plan. Nothing to install: it's all on the server.
Improvements1
Training A training plan now lists only the steps you still have to do. Each Pokémon's line still counts them ("5/7") and says which of your Pokémon the plan uses ("your Lv 41 (party)"), so a finished Pokémon is a single line. A finished EV step stays until you press its Lock EVs button.
Poké Snacks bring all their Pokémon again, a new quest chapter explains everything Spuds adds, your PC grows to 400 boxes, and EV training takes half the battles. Nothing to install: it's all on the server.
Poké Snacks work again
Snacks used to stop after 4 or 5 Pokémon. A new Pokémon can't appear within 8 blocks of another one, so once a few uncaught Pokémon stood around the snack, every later bite failed without a word. Now a snack's Pokémon only need 3 blocks of room, so a snack brings all 9 of its Pokémon even with others around, and two snacks side by side both finish. Wild Pokémon away from snacks keep their usual spacing.
A plain snack now brings rare and ultra-rare Pokémon about twice as often as before. Seasonings (golden carrots, golden apples and so on) still stack on top.
A snack keeps going until 24 wild Pokémon are around it (was 18).
The tracker picks your snack seasoning
Track a Pokémon with /track <pokemon> snack, or its Poké Snack button on the Tracker tab, and the tracker now names the best seasoning for it in the biome the arrow points to: which berries and golden fruit to cook into the snack, and how often that snack should bring it ("about 1 in 4 snack spawns", next to a plain snack's odds). It sticks to everyday ingredients; when Enchanted Golden Apples would help a lot, an Even better line says so. It's a rough guide: hover the line for notes.
On our test server, the snack it picked for Rockruff (Charti, Rawst and Kelpsy Berries) brought Rockruff 8 times as often as a plain snack.
Training plans know forme changes
A training plan used to tell you to catch a Landorus-Therian when you already had a Landorus in its Incarnate forme. Now a Pokémon that only needs a forme change counts as yours, and its Get it step says how to change it and puts the item on your shopping list. Already have a plan? Press Refresh on the Training tab.
Right-click it (send it out first): Reveal Glass (Landorus, Tornadus, Thundurus, Enamorus), Prison Bottle (Hoopa), Gracidea (Shaymin, by day), Meteorite (Deoxys), Rotom Catalogue, and the nectars (Oricorio).
Give it to hold: Griseous Core, Adamant Crystal, Lustrous Globe, plates, memories, drives and Ogerpon's masks.
Fuse it: Kyurem with Reshiram or Zekrom (DNA Splicers), Calyrex with Glastrier or Spectrier (Reins of Unity), Necrozma with Solgaleo or Lunala (N-Solarizer, N-Lunarizer). If you don't have the partner, the plan lists it under Get these.
The ability step plans for the ability the new forme gives (a Therian Landorus has Intimidate), so no Ability Capsule you don't need.
Giratina, Dialga and Palkia Origin are planned as the real formes they are (hold the item), not as battle forms.
The Spuds Guide
A new quest chapter, Spuds Guide, with 33 quests: one for every Spuds feature, plus the Cobblemon mechanics that trip people up (snack and bait seasoning, held items, natures and EVs, abilities, evolution, raid dens, riding). Every quest pays Spudbucks, 326,000 in all, and many give an item too. They open once you've claimed the Welcome quest. Your quest book opens at the new chapter once, a few seconds after you next log in.
400 PC boxes
Your PC now has 400 boxes (was 40). Existing PCs grow the next time you log in, and every Pokémon stays in its box and slot.
Training Hall: six Pokémon per EV trainer
Every EV trainer now brings six Pokémon instead of three, so a win gives +18 EVs in its stat (66 with that stat's Power item, was 9 and 33). Half the battles for the same EVs. Already have a training plan? Press Refresh on the Training tab and its battle counts follow.
Improvements4
Trainers Wild NPC trainers now spawn around you whether or not you carry a Trainer Card. Keep the card anyway: it shows your progress and points to your next trainer.
Battles Pokémon no longer show their battle items on their model (Leftovers, Life Orb, Mega Stones, Berries, Choice Band and Specs, Rocky Helmet and the rest), so an opponent can't read your item off your Pokémon. Purely cosmetic hats still show.
Spuds menu The home page now lists Training, Wonder Trade and the Trade Board too.
Wonder Trade The box filter takes any box number of your PC, not just 1 to 40.
Fixes3
Tracker Most Pokémon that spawn on their own also come to Poké Snacks, but the tracker said many of them "don't come to Poké Snacks". It now knows every Pokémon a snack can bring, so the Poké Snack button shows up for them.
Training A Pokémon you Mega Evolved outside battle now counts for its set. The plan used to skip a Mega Gyarados and tell you to evolve a Magikarp from your PC instead. It also knows the ability comes back when the Mega form ends (at the start of any battle, in the PC, or with the Mega Evolve key).
Quests Five quest texts were wrong and now say what really happens:
NPC trainers never force a battle on you: right-click a trainer to battle.
Pokémon over the level cap still fight trainers, as copies at the cap, so you don't have to park them in the PC.
A pasture makes an egg about every 3 minutes into your own pile (up to 100). Take it with an empty-hand right-click. Hoppers get nothing.
Two Dittos make a random egg (never a Legendary, Paradox or Ultra Beast).
Breeding two Pokémon from different trainers makes a shiny 8 times more likely (was said to be 4).
A safety net for mass Wonder Trade and mass release. Nothing to install: it's all on the server.
Improvements1
Pokémon Wonder Trade and Release never take your last Pokémon of a species any more. If your selection holds every one you own of a species (party and PC, counting shiny, nicknamed and kept ones too), the best one stays: the one with the most perfect IVs, then the highest level. Its row on the Wonder Trade tab says Stays and "last of its species", and the summary and the confirm screen count them. Want a different one to stay? Press its Goes button so it says Kept, and the other one can go.
Clear out your PC in bulk: send dozens (or hundreds) of Pokémon to Wonder Trade, or release them, in one go. Nothing to install: it's all on the server.
Wonder Trade is now a roll
Send a Pokémon to Wonder Trade and it's gone for good. In its place (same party or PC slot, same level) you get a freshly rolled Pokémon, with you as its trainer. Every roll has the same odds, whatever you sent: Common 69.9% · Uncommon 20% · Rare 8% · Ultra-rare 2% · Legendary 0.1%, and any roll can be shiny at 1 in 512 (the wild rate is 1 in 4096). A Pokémon's tier is the rarest way it spawns in the wild, so starters, Dratini, Larvitar and Eevee are ultra-rare. The legendary tier holds every Legendary and Mythical Pokémon, all equally likely; Ultra Beasts and Paradox Pokémon are ultra-rare.
Pity: if 99 rolls in a row bring no ultra-rare, the 100th is an ultra-rare or better. The tab shows how many rolls you have left until then, and the count carries over between sessions.
Rolled Pokémon get random IVs, nature and gender and a normal ability (never a hidden one), and they go into your Pokédex. Rolls still count as trades for trade evolutions and the Take Good Care! quest. You can keep a rolled Pokémon, release it or put it on the Trade Board, but it can't go back into Wonder Trade. Wonder Trade no longer swaps with other players: to trade with someone, use the Trade Board (unchanged).
Pick many at once
The Wonder Trade tab of the Spuds menu lists your PC Pokémon. Narrow the list down with filters: box (a box number, party, or blank for every PC box), minimum and maximum level, species, form, gender, nature, ability, size and Perfect IVs at most (so your well-bred ones stay out). Every match starts as Goes: click a row to switch it to Kept, or use Keep page, Keep all and Select all. Then press Wonder Trade N or Release N. Before anything happens, a confirm screen spells out what goes: how many, how many species, the level range and the held items. After a Wonder Trade, a results screen lists what you rolled, rarest first.
One Wonder Trade batch starts one 10-minute cooldown, whatever its size, even a single Pokémon. Releasing has no cooldown.
Held items come back to you (into your inventory, or at your feet if it's full), when you release too. Releasing from Cobblemon's own PC screen still destroys the held item.
Never listed: shiny, Legendary, Mythical, Ultra Beast and Paradox Pokémon, nicknamed ones, Awakened ones (Legend Essence), pastured ones, ones out of their ball and ones in the middle of a Trade Board trade. You can still release or trade those one at a time the usual way.
A release never empties your party: your last party Pokémon stays. Released Pokémon count in your "released" stat. There's no undo.
Not during a battle. A Pokémon that can't be traded can still be released.
Everyone sees one chat line when a batch rolls a shiny, an ultra-rare or a legendary.
/wondertrade (short /wt) shows the odds, your pity count and your cooldown.
Training plans got smarter about battle forms and save you items you didn't need. Nothing to install: it's all on the server. Already have a plan? Press Refresh on the Training tab (or type /training) to get the updated one.
Mega sets don't waste Ability Capsules or Patches any more
A Mega Evolution sets its own ability: a Mega Audino is always Healer and a Mega Blaziken is always Speed Boost, whatever ability the Pokémon had before. Plans used to ask you to buy an Ability Capsule or even a 250,000 Ability Patch to get that ability first. Now the ability line just says comes with the Mega form and nothing goes on your shopping list. The same goes for Primal Reversion and Ultra Burst. Forms that need the ability before they can transform at all (Zen Mode Darmanitan, Ash-Greninja, Complete Zygarde) still plan it, because there it matters.
Fixes3
Training Mega sets no longer plan an Ability Capsule or Ability Patch for the ability their Mega form gives anyway (e.g. Audino, Blaziken, Scizor, Medicham, Tyranitar, Abomasnow)
Training Bond Greninja: plans no longer tell you to evolve a Froakie or Frogadier into one, since those evolve into a normal Greninja. The plan now says a Bond Greninja can't be caught or evolved
Training EV plans: when two ways cost the same, the plan now picks the one with fewer Vanishing Tonics, so you don't have to claim a second free tonic when a berry you already own does the job
Battles no longer have to change a finished team's EVs. Nothing to install: it's all on the server.
EV gains ON/OFF
Every Pokémon now has an EV gains switch. Turn it OFF and that Pokémon gets no EVs from battles (wild Pokémon, trainers, the EV trainers, other players) or from wild Pokémon it knocks out in the overworld. Vitamins, feathers and EV berries still work, so you can still adjust it on purpose. Open the Spuds menu, pick the Training tab and use the EV gains section at the bottom: one switch per Pokémon in your party. Without the menu: /training evs.
The switch stays with the Pokémon in the PC, when you log out and when it evolves.
A Pokémon with EV gains OFF still battles and gets experience as usual.
A Pokémon you trade away (Wonder Trade, the Trade Board or a normal trade) arrives with EV gains ON for its new trainer.
Improvements2
Training Hall Your whole team now stays in your party while you train EVs: the plan shows who gets EVs from the next win (ON) and who doesn't (OFF), and Set EV gains sets the switches for you. No more moving Pokémon to the PC between battles.
Training When a Pokémon's EVs match the team you pasted, its EV step has a Lock EVs button that turns its EV gains OFF.
Bring a competitive team to life: paste a team link and the server works out what you need. Nothing to install: it's all on the server.
Training plans
Open the Spuds menu and pick the new Training tab (or type /training import <link>). Paste a team link from pokepast.es or crob.at and press Import. The server compares every Pokémon on that team with yours (species and form, ability, nature, IVs, EVs, held item and moves) and gives you a recommended plan:
Get these: the Pokémon you don't have yet, with how rare they are and a Track button. If you own an earlier evolution, it tells you to evolve that one instead.
Shopping list: what to buy and where, after what's already in your bag.
Training Hall: how many wins you need at each EV trainer, and who to bring for the next win (who holds a Power item, who stays in your party, who goes in the PC).
Per Pokémon: every step, ticked off as you go: ability (Ability Capsule or Patch), nature (Mint), IVs (Bottle Caps or IV candies), EVs, held item and moves (TM, relearn, level-up).
The plan updates as you progress. It picks your best match for each set; Use another switches to a different one of yours. The plan weighs battles against Spudbucks, so it shows both totals. Level, Tera Type, gender and shininess aren't part of the plan. /training shows the plan in chat, and /training clear removes it.
The IV Guru and Bottle Caps
A new IV Guru stands in the Training Hall, next to the EV Vanishing Guru. They sell:
Bottle Cap (5,500): raises one IV of your Pokémon to 31.
Gold Bottle Cap (33,000): raises all six IVs to 31.
All 12 IV candies (350 each): +1 or −1 to one IV, for odd values like 0 Attack.
Right-click your own sent-out Pokémon with a Bottle Cap and pick the stat. Perfect IVs for a whole team of six cost at most 198,000 this way.
Improvements4
Training Hall The Vanishing Tonic is now free at the EV Vanishing Guru. If you have none, you can also get one with /evreset free or the button in the Training tab.
Training Hall Each EV trainer gives you its Power item free the first time you talk to them (Power Weight, Bracer, Belt, Lens, Band or Anklet). A Pokémon holding it gets 33 EVs per win instead of 9.
Tracker/track trainer now finds the EV trainers and the Money Maker: it points you to the Training Hall.
Shops IV candies at the Saffron Poké Mart now cost 350 (were 2,000), and moved to Breeding & IVs.
No more waiting for a Pokémon that only bites on a fishing rod. Nothing to install: it's all on the server.
Pick how you want to catch it
Tracker The tracker now says how to catch a Pokémon before anything else: "Fish for Goomy right here: cast a line", "Set out a Poké Snack for...", or "spawns right here: look around" for one that walks around.
Tracker In the Tracker tab, Catch it by has a button for each way the Pokémon can be caught where you are: Any way, Natural, Herd (alpha herds too), Fishing and Poké Snack. Pick one and the arrow only points at places to catch it that way, and the list below only shows those spawns.
Tracker Without the menu: /track goomy fishing (or natural, herd, snack). /track goomy or /track goomy any goes back to every way.
Tracker With Any way, a common way now beats a rare one: if a Pokémon is common on a rod but rare walking around, the tracker sends you fishing.
Every other way to get it
Tracker The Tracker tab lists the other ways to get the Pokémon you track: habitats, raids, shrines, spawners, gifts, trades, fossils, starters, Game Corner prizes, evolving and breeding. Ones that aren't on Spuds right now are greyed out (hover for why). A Spudsdex button opens its page.
Two new ways to trade Pokémon with other players. Nothing to install: it's all on the server.
Wonder Trade
Open the Spuds menu and pick the new Wonder Trade tab (or type /wondertrade, short /wt). Every Pokémon in your party has a Trade button. Your Pokémon goes into the pool exactly as it is (moves, held item, Poké Ball, nickname, IVs and all), and you get one back straight away. It's one another player sent in, close to the level of the one you gave. If nobody else has sent one yet, you get a random wild Pokémon at the same level instead (it can be shiny). A shiny that arrives is announced to everyone. You can trade once every 10 minutes. Legendary, Mythical, Ultra Beast and Paradox Pokémon can't go into Wonder Trade, and never come out of it.
Trade Board
Open the new Trade Board tab (or type /tradeboard) and put a party Pokémon on the board, with what you want for it. That can be a species, form, minimum level, gender, nature, ability, shiny or size (XS to XL), or nothing at all for a giveaway. New listings go live after about a minute and are announced in chat. Other players browse the board with filters (including Only ones I can fill), open Details to see moves, IVs, EVs, ball and trainer, and press Trade to send a matching Pokémon. The trade happens at once, even while you're offline. What you get waits in Your mail until you press Collect, and you get a chat message when it's ready. Changed your mind? Cancel brings the Pokémon straight back. Legendaries can be listed and asked for.
Both kinds of trade offer trade evolutions (Haunter, Kadabra, Karrablast, Shelmet...) as a normal trade does, and both count for the Take Good Care! quest. A Pokémon you just received can't be traded on for about a minute.
A fix update from today's bug hunt. Nothing to install: it's all on the server.
Fixes4
Server Fixed the server freezing and then crashing after very long flights (this morning at 04:28, and on 10-24). Chunks would stop loading ("stuck in a chunk"), the next waystone teleport froze the server, and it rolled back to the last save. A hiccup in chunk lighting no longer stops it for good, and the server copes better with long flights.
Trainers/track <pokemon> no longer points at a trainer's Pokémon in the middle of a battle.
Spudsdex Some Pokémon listed biomes they can never spawn in (Mantine and Mantyke, Feebas and Milotic, the Gible line, Heracross, Burmy and Mothim, several Vivillon patterns and others). The biome lists now match the server.
Spudsdex Structure spawns now say "in or above" the structure: it counts at any height where the structure stands (Lugia above an Ocean Monument, for example).
Two storage mods join the server: Tom's Simple Storage (one screen with a search box for every chest next to it) and Upgraded Iron Chests (bigger chests, password safes and a Chest Finder).
Action needed: add two files to your mods folder, or install the new pack 1.3.0. Without them you can't join anymore. Step by step (and the download links): https://spuds.tinwhale.com/ ("Updating from 1.2.x"). Your builds, chests and items are untouched.
Find your stuff: the Storage Terminal
Put chests (or barrels, furnaces, any inventory) next to an Inventory Connector: it joins every inventory touching it into one (Inventory Trim blocks bridge small gaps, up to 16 blocks). Place a Storage Terminal on the connector or on one of those chests and right-click it: you see everything stored in all of them at once, with a search box at the top. Click an item to take a stack, shift-click your own items to put them away. Chests that are far apart connect with Inventory Cable (Inventory Cable Connectors on each chest, one Inventory Connector somewhere in the network). A Wireless Terminal opens the same screen from up to 16 blocks away.
Bigger chests: Upgraded Iron Chests
Iron, Gold, Diamond and Netherite chests, each bigger than the last (and each also as a double chest). Safe Chests (Iron Safe, Diamond Safe) lock behind a four-digit password only you set. To search all your chests from anywhere: open a chest and press the little person icon at the top ("Include this chest in Chest Finder"), then press the magnifier under your inventory (Chest Finder): type an item name and it shows which saved chests hold it and how far away they are. The same bar has Quick Stack and Deposit All, which put your items into saved chests within 16 blocks.
Known issues2
The terminal and the chest screens have only been seen from a test client, not from a real one yet; tell us if something looks off.
Tom's mod has a key binding ("Open Terminal", for the Wireless Terminal) that shares B with the backpack key in old installs; change one under Options → Controls. The new pack leaves it unbound.
A big building just north of the Pewter plaza now holds six EV trainers, a Money Maker and an EV Vanishing Guru. Celadon and Cinnabar finally exist, and five gyms that were missing now stand where they should. Spuds Content is 1.0.1: the Spuds menu key is now the grave accent (`) because Y clashed with Xaero and Raid Dens.
Improvements7
TrainersSpuds Training Hall (north of the Pewter plaza): six EV trainers, one per stat. Each has three level-3 Pokémon with only Tackle; every win gives +9 EVs in that stat, they pay a few Spudbucks, and you can rebattle them as often as you like
TrainersThe Money Maker is now a level-50 format: it fights a random strong team of six level-50 Pokémon each time, and your Pokémon are synced to level 50 for the battle (higher ones scaled down, lower ones scaled up; they come back unchanged, no EXP or EVs). It is harder than ordinary trainers and easier than the gym leaders. A win pays a flat 50,000 Spudbucks, and a loss pays a share for each of its Pokémon you fainted (2 of 6 = 16,666).
PokémonVanishing Tonic: right-click one of your own Pokémon to set all its EVs back to 0. The EV Vanishing Guru in the hall sells it for 20,000 Spudbucks
WorldCeladon (Erika) and Cinnabar (Blaine) are placed in the world, and the new gym towns have a compass instead of an exploration map. /track trainer and /track next point at them
World The missing gyms are in: Brock for three Pewters, Clair in Viridian, Misty in Cerulean (on the water), and Lt. Surge in Vermilion
Spuds menu Spuds toasts wait while the menu is open, the Pastures footer wraps, the sleep-vote toast clears when the vote ends, and Orchard Harvesters notice new plants within 30 seconds when you're near
Tracker Zygarde cores no longer show up as rare-spawn alerts
Known issues1
The Training Hall and the new gyms haven't been seen from a real client yet; tell us if a door faces a wall.
Spuds has its own mod now, Spuds Content. The chat commands become real screens: press ` (the key left of 1) for the Spuds menu. It also adds a Create machine that harvests your orchard for you.
Action needed: add spuds-content-1.0.1.jar to your mods folder (https://spuds.tinwhale.com/ shows how, for the Modrinth App, Prism and CurseForge), or install the new pack 1.2.1. Without it you can't join anymore.
The Spuds menu (`)
Press ` anywhere; the game keeps running while it's open. It has a tab for each feature:
Lead: your lead Pokémon, its ability and what that does out in the world right now (and when it applies), what each Pokémon in your party would do as lead, normal and legendary, your Legend Essence and an Awaken button that asks before it uses one, plus a box to look up any ability.
Tracker: what you're tracking and where it's pointing, Stop and Next trainer buttons, a search box for a Pokémon, a biome or a trainer with a Track button on each result, and the last 10 rare spawns with Track and Waypoint.
Pastures: each of your pastures with where it is and whether it's kept loaded (up to 4), how full your egg pile (100) and drop pile (27 stacks) are, one row per Pokémon with Eggs ON/OFF and Drops ON/OFF, and Take stash (what /eggs did).
Home: links to the Spudsdex, these patch notes and the join guide, and your Orchard Harvesters. It also tells you when a newer Spuds Content is out.
The commands (/track, /lead, /eggs, /pasture) still work.
On your screen
Tracker While you track something, a compass at the top of your screen points the way, with the status under it, instead of the text above your hotbar
Sleep vote When someone gets in bed, a small panel shows the sleep vote and how long is left. Press ` to answer
Pokémon Pop-ups for rare and legendary spawns near you, a new lead and a Legend Essence you got (the chat line stays, with its Waypoint link)
Lead Your lead gets a small badge in the party bar
Pasture switches
In Cobblemon's pasture screen, each of your own Pokémon gets two small switches: eggs and drops. Click one to stop that Pokémon breeding, or making drops, without taking it out (keep a Ditto for its drops, say). A strip under the pasture shows your egg and drop piles there, with Take all.
Ability tooltip in the summary
In a Pokémon's summary (M), hover over its ability: it shows what that ability does when the Pokémon leads, normal and legendary, with the one that applies to this Pokémon highlighted.
The Orchard Harvester
A new Create machine that picks your orchard. Put a fence or wall around apricorn trees, berry bushes, mints, leeks, vivichokes, revival herbs and the other Cobblemon plants (vanilla crops, sweet berries and cocoa work too), place the harvester inside and turn it with a shaft from below or above. It picks whatever is ripe and leaves every plant to grow back.
Fenced like a pasture: fences, walls and closed gates count; an open gate is a gap. Up to 48 by 48 blocks. Look at it with Engineer's Goggles to see its area, how many plants are ripe and, if it isn't closed, "gap near x z". It notices a new fence within 30 seconds, or right away when you click it with a wrench.
Bigger orchard, more stress: a bare harvester needs 4 SU per RPM, and every apricorn and plant inside adds a little, up to 64 SU per RPM. 24 apricorns and 16 berry bushes at 32 RPM take about 350 SU. Faster turns pick faster: one plant a second at 32 RPM, up to 8 a second. Without enough power, or overstressed, it stops.
Keeps the orchard loaded: while it's closed in, has plants and is turning, it keeps its area loaded even when nobody is near, so apricorns keep growing and get picked while you're away. Up to 2 harvesters per player. If it stops turning for 5 minutes, the area unloads again.
27 slots: take the harvest out by hand, or pull it out with a funnel, chute or hopper. When it's full it waits; nothing is dropped on the ground. Anyone can open it, like a chest.
Recipe: Mechanical Harvester, Andesite Casing, Mechanical Harvester in the top row, and a Chest under the casing.
Wild Pokémon now show up four times as fast, and they spawn in and around the cities again (only the aggressive ones stay out). Pastures keep breeding and making drops while you're away.
Improvements4
Pokémon The game tries to spawn a Pokémon near you four times a second instead of once, so the land around you fills up in about 15 seconds instead of a minute or more. How many Pokémon can be around you at once hasn't changed
Pokémon Wild Pokémon spawn in and near the cities again. Aggressive ones (the ones that attack you without being provoked, alphas included) still don't spawn there
Pokémon No wild Pokémon attacks you unprovoked in or near a city, not even one that wandered in or a Ghost or Dark type that turns aggressive at night. Hit one and it still fights back
Pastures A pasture with Pokémon in it keeps working while nobody is near it: eggs and drops keep coming while you're off exploring or logged out. Up to 4 pastures per player (the one who placed it); more still work while someone is nearby
Hunting for blaze rods, slimeballs, bones and gunpowder took forever. The Pokémon that drop them now drop more, a few more Pokémon drop them, and Pokémon in your pasture now make their drops for you. Wild Pokémon also keep up with you now when you fly or travel fast. The Spudsdex shows who drops what.
Spawns keep up with you
Pokémon Pokémon spawn on the ground below you while you fly, on hilltops and at the foot of mountains. Before, almost nothing spawned while you were more than a few blocks above the ground
Pokémon While you travel, Pokémon spawn ahead of you instead of beside or behind you
Pokémon Pokémon in your pasture (and other owned Pokémon) no longer stop wild ones from spawning around your base
Pokémon No more hidden spawns in caves under your feet while you're on the surface; they used up the room for the ones you can see
Pokémon Pokémon on the ground below a flying player no longer vanish after 30 seconds
Pastures make drops
Every Pokémon in your pasture drops its items every 15 minutes while the pasture is loaded, just like knocking one out. They wait in your own pile at that pasture, apart from your eggs (up to 27 stacks; it pauses when full). Right-click the pasture's bottom block with an empty hand to take your eggs and drops, and /eggs tells you what's waiting. Nobody else can take them, hoppers included.
Improvements8
Pokémon Blaze rods: Charcadet, Armarouge and Ceruledge drop them everywhere now, not only in the Nether. In the Nether, Armarouge and Ceruledge drop 1–3 every time and Charcadet 3 times in 4. Magmar and Magmortar drop them too
Pokémon Ghast tears: the Gastly line drops them outside the Nether too, and much more often inside it (Gengar 4 times in 5)
Pokémon Gunpowder: Electrode always drops 1–3, Voltorb 3 times in 4, and Koffing and Weezing drop it now
Pokémon Bones and slimeballs: every Pokémon that drops them drops up to twice as many. Shellos, Gastrodon, Gulpin and Swalot drop slimeballs now
Pokémon Breeze rods: Drifloon, Drifblim and Kilowattrel drop them about twice as often, Wattrel five times as often
Pokémon Wither skeleton skulls: Cubone, Marowak and Mandibuzz drop them 2 to 3 times as often (Marowak 8%)
World Newly explored cities always get their gym, and big structures (Sea Mauville, the Bell, Burned, Sprout and Sky towers, the Spear Pillar and others) no longer land on top of a city. Only land nobody has visited yet changes
World A Bell Tower too tall for the world isn't built at all, so Ho-Oh can't end up above the build limit (new land only)
We went bug hunting. Vanilla animals are gone for good, /track points where Pokémon really spawn, and a pile of bugs is fixed.
No vanilla mobs
Wolves, horses, donkeys, mules, camels, llamas, cats, parrots, iron and snow golems and allays are gone, wild and tame (nobody owned one). Every vanilla mob also stopped Pokémon from spawning within 8 blocks of it, so there should be more Pokémon around now. The Ender Dragon, the Wither and shulkers stay, and villagers keep turning into Pokémon NPCs.
A smarter /track
Tracker The arrow points at a real patch of a biome, not the first sliver of it squeezed between two others where nothing spawns. If only small patches are nearby, it says so.
Tracker A Pokémon's own spawns come before herds it turns up in, and herd spawns are marked as such ("herd, common").
Tracker Pokémon that need the open sky are no longer tracked into caves (Greavard and Houndstone pointed underground).
Tracker/track finds about 100 Pokémon it used to refuse, like Greavard, Houndstone, Frigibax, Pawmi, Mandibuzz, the Paradox Pokémon and most legendaries.
Fixes10
Server The server could run out of memory and freeze while players flew around for a long time (the crash this afternoon); fixed
Server PvP was still on although it was meant to be off; it's off now
Villages 121 village beds said "This bed is occupied" forever (their villager was turned into an NPC in its sleep). Click one and it works again
Breeding Every egg hatch counted twice, so the hatching quests finished at half the eggs
Pastures A damaged egg-stash file could wipe other players' stashes; now it can't
Legend Essence A Shedinja no longer copies its Nincada's awakening
Quests "Nurse Joy's Finest" says what it needs: a hurt Pokémon at a Healing Machine (a healthy team is turned away)
Quests "More Gimmicks Than a Circus!" says what it needs: craft an Omni Ring (owning the four separate items never counted)
Pokémon Applin always drops one of its apples
Crafting The recipe that turns a dyed placard back into a plain one works
Any Pokémon can now lead at legendary strength, pastures keep everyone's eggs apart, and Furret can be ridden.
Legend Essence
A Legend Essence awakens one of your Pokémon: from then on, while it leads, its ability works at legendary strength (the legendary aura stays with real legendaries). Right-click your own sent-out Pokémon while holding it; chat shows what will change, and [Awaken] confirms. It's permanent and stays with that Pokémon through the PC, trades, evolution, a new ability and Mega Evolution. Trace and the other copiers can't be awakened.
Where to get one:
the Saffron City Poké Mart sells them for 500,000 Spudbucks
you get one the first time you catch each legendary, mythical and Ultra Beast species, and once for every one already caught in your Pokédex
Stronger legendary leads
Ultra Beasts now count as legendary leads, aura included.
66 abilities that did the same at both strengths now have a real legendary version. Water abilities let you move through water as fast as on land and mine underwater at full speed; fire abilities stop soul sand from slowing you; Huge Power gives Strength III; Levitate adds Jump Boost II, and more. /lead ability <name> and the Spudsdex Abilities tab show both strengths.
Pastures: your eggs are yours
Pastures stay public: anyone can put Pokémon in, and everyone sees all of them. But only your own Pokémon breed with each other, and their eggs go to your own pile at that pasture, up to 100. Right-click the pasture with an empty hand to take yours; nobody else can, hoppers included. If a pasture is broken, your eggs move to your personal stash: get them with /eggs or by right-clicking any pasture.
Improvements1
Pokémon Furret can be ridden, like a horse
Fixes1
Server A restart could freeze while the world was being pre-generated, keeping the server down for 13 minutes; fixed
Villagers and wandering traders are gone: in their place, Pokémon-world townsfolk with shops that take Spudbucks. The Spudsdex also has a new Abilities tab.
Villages
Every villager turns into an NPC with its own shop, including the ones in trading halls:
Berry Farmer (was Farmer): berries, apricorns, mints, seeds and crops
Poké Ball Maker (was Fletcher): Poké, Great and Ultra Balls, Kurt's apricorn balls, arrows and bows
Nurse (was Cleric): heals your party for free; sells medicine, ender pearls and Xp bottles
Scholar (was Librarian): enchanted books at their top level (Mending too), name tags, Pokédexes
Smith (was Armorer, Weaponsmith, Toolsmith): iron and diamond gear
Fisher (was Fisherman): Poké Rods, bait and fish
Cook (was Butcher): cooked food and Cobblemon dishes
Saddler (was Leatherworker): saddles, leads and leather
Builder (was Mason): stone, bricks and terracotta
Weaver (was Shepherd): wool, beds, banners and dyes
Explorer (was Cartographer): maps, compasses, spyglasses and fossils
Travelling Merchant (was Wandering Trader): evolution items and rarer goods; leaves after a while
Nitwits and villagers without a job become townsfolk who chat about Pokémon, and village kids stay kids. A new village still gets its shops: a villager without a job takes a free workstation nearby, as before, and becomes that job's NPC.
Spudsdex: Abilities
A new Abilities tab lists all 317 abilities: what each does in battle, what it does as your lead (normal and legendary), and every Pokémon that has it. Filter by name or effect ("night vision", "shiny"); Pokémon pages link to their abilities.
Fixes2
Pokémon Sap Sipper, Gluttony, Cheek Pouch and the other hunger abilities fed you so slowly you couldn't tell: now a drumstick every 10 s while you're not full, every 4 s with saturation for a legendary lead
Pokémon A Flying-type legendary lead no longer lets you fly. It was faster than any flying Pokémon and made riding them pointless. Now it makes you light as a feather: you jump higher (Jump Boost II), take no fall damage, and glide down (Slow Falling) while you sneak
Every ability now does something while its Pokémon leads your party, legendary and mythical leads are far stronger (catch one and put it first), and the Saffron City Poké Mart now sells every Pokémon item.
Every ability
About 40 abilities had a field effect until now. Now all of them do, each one picked to fit: Blaze gives Fire Resistance, Sturdy gives Resistance, Technician gives Haste, Chlorophyll makes you faster in the sun, Overgrow makes crops near you grow faster, Natural Cure heals your party's status, Frisk tells you when a shiny spawns near you, and Trace copies the ability of the Pokémon behind it. A Mega Evolved lead uses its Mega's ability. In battle, abilities work exactly as before. /lead ability <name> tells you what any ability does.
Legendary leads
A legendary or mythical lead gives its ability's effect at full strength. For example, Mew's Synchronize gives every wild Pokémon its nature, and a Pressure legendary puts every wild Pokémon at the top of its level range. On top of that comes a legendary aura:
wild shinies are twice as likely
wild Pokémon of its types turn up three times as often
a buff for each of its types, such as Strength II for Fighting, Resistance II for Steel, Speed II for Electric, and water breathing with fast swimming for Water
Flying types let you fly: double-tap jump, like in creative
/lead legendary shows it all.
Saffron City Poké Mart
The Saffron City Poké Mart now stocks every Pokémon item, about 1,100 in all: every TM (334 moves), every mint and the mint seeds and leaves to grow them, vitamins, feathers and mochi for EVs, Power items and the Destiny Knot for breeding IVs, Ability Capsules and Patches, Exp. Candies and Rare Candies, every held item, every evolution item, all berries and apricorns and their seeds, Mega Stones, Z-Crystals and Tera Shards, form-change items, fossils, Poké Balls up to the Master Ball, and the machines (PC, Healing Machine, Pasture, fossil machine). Use the search box in the shop to find something fast.
Improvements1
Pokémon/lead list shows an overview of the effect families; /lead ability <name> explains any ability at normal and legendary strength
Pokémon above your level cap no longer stop you from battling trainers: they fight at the cap instead.
Level cap battles
Your level cap is shown on your Trainer Card. Trainers used to refuse to battle you if any of your Pokémon was above it. Now the battle goes ahead and every Pokémon above your cap fights at the cap for that battle: same moves, ability and IVs, with its stats worked out for the lower level. Chat tells you at the start, for example "Level cap 35: Charizard (Lv 62) fights at Lv 35 in this battle." Afterwards your Pokémon are back at their real level. Damage, fainting, status and used PP carry over as in any battle, and they still get no EXP above the cap.
This applies to every trainer, gym leaders in the city gyms included, so a gym is always a fair fight for the badge. Wild battles and battles between players don't change.
Your lead Pokémon now does something outside battle too, and you can fly to any waystone you've found straight from your inventory.
Lead Pokémon
The first Pokémon in your party that hasn't fainted now gives a field effect by its ability, like in the games. /lead says what yours does, /lead list shows them all, and chat tells you when your lead's effect changes.
Fly to waystones
A waystone button in your inventory (bottom-right of the box with your character) opens the list of waystones you've discovered: click one to fly there, like Fly in the games. Free, no cooldown.
Improvements10
Pokémon Synchronize: half the wild Pokémon you meet (walking or fishing) share your lead's nature
Pokémon Cute Charm: two in three wild Pokémon are your lead's opposite gender
Pokémon Magnet Pull (Steel), Static and Lightning Rod (Electric), Flash Fire (Fire), Storm Drain (Water), Harvest (Grass): wild Pokémon of that type turn up two to three times as often
Pokémon Hustle, Pressure, Vital Spirit: half the wild Pokémon come at the top of their level range
Pokémon Intimidate, Keen Eye: half the wild Pokémon 5 or more levels below your lead keep away (on foot)
Pokémon Stench and co halve your wild encounters on foot; Illuminate and co double them
Pokémon Compound Eyes, Super Luck: half the wild Pokémon drop twice the items
Pokémon Suction Cups, Sticky Hold: Pokémon bite on your Poké Rod twice as fast
Pokémon Pickup and Honey Gather work from any party slot: after you beat or catch a wild Pokémon, a Pokémon holding nothing may pick up an item (10%, better items at higher levels) or a Honey Bottle (5% at level 1–10 up to 50% at 91–100)
Pokémon Buffs while it leads: Night Vision (Illuminate), Luck (Super Luck), Slow Falling (Levitate), Dolphin's Grace (Swift Swim), Water Breathing (Water Absorb, Water Veil, Water Bubble), Fire Resistance (Flash Fire), Speed (Run Away, Speed Boost), no freezing in powder snow (Snow Cloak, Ice Body, Thick Fat)
Your Trainer Card is now a Nature's Compass too, and it can lead you to gym leaders and every other trainer. Nothing to install: it's all on the server.
Track a biome
/track biome cherry_grove points your Trainer Card at the nearest Cherry Grove in your dimension, with how far and which way it is (press Tab to list the biomes). Nether biomes work once you're in the Nether.
Track a trainer
/track trainer misty points your Trainer Card at a trainer: the city gym or building they stand in, otherwise the kind of place they wander. /track next does the same for whoever your Trainer Card says is next. If a trainer won't turn up for you yet, it tells you why (for example "beat Rival Terry first"). Some cities are very far apart: Celadon City is about 12,000 blocks out, so for Erika it points you at the jungles and lush forests she wanders in.
Fixes1
World The Bell Tower at -2424 1400 was too tall for the world, so its Ho-Oh never existed. Ho-Oh is back on top of its centre pillar (-2405 319 1419)
A batch of quality-of-life changes: modern shiny odds, wild Pokémon that don't wreck you, quiet towns, much faster breeding, EXP you never lose, and one player can sleep through the night once everyone else agrees.
Sleep vote
Get in bed at night and everyone else in the overworld gets [Yes] [No] buttons in chat. Once all of them click Yes, the night is skipped and the rain clears. A No keeps the night going, and anyone can change their answer (or type /sleepvote yes / /sleepvote no). No answer within 30 seconds counts as yes, so nobody AFK holds the night up. If everyone is in bed, the night skips as always.
Improvements19
Pokémon Wild Pokémon hit half as hard and never more than 6 hearts at once; your own Pokémon hit as hard as before
Pokémon Armor now protects against Pokémon ranged and area attacks (they used to go straight through it)
World No wild Pokémon spawn in or near the cities; fishing and Poké Snacks still work there
Pokémon Rare-spawn alerts show the coordinates, with a [Waypoint] button (adds it to your minimap) and a [Track] button (points your Trainer Card at it)
Pokémon/track points at a nearby wild one even if you've never caught it, and says when a Pokémon only comes out by day or at night ("wait for night and it will be here")
Pokémon Shinies are 1 in 4096, like the modern games (was 1 in 8192)
Raids Raid bosses are far more often shiny: 1 in 1024 at tiers 1–2, 512 at 3–4, 256 at 5–6 and 128 at tier 7
Battles Exp. Share gives every Pokémon in your party full EXP
Battles You keep the EXP you earned even if you lose, and a Pokémon that fainted still gets its share
Trainers Trainers no longer force a battle when they spot you: right-click one to battle
Pokémon TMs can be used again and again
Pokémon Healing Machines never run out
Pokémon Your party heals four times faster outside battle, and fainted Pokémon wake up after 2 minutes
Pokémon Riding stamina is unlimited
Breeding A Pasture pair makes an egg every 3 minutes, and eggs hatch 3× faster
Breeding The Masuda method (parents from two different players) is ×8 for shinies
Breeding Two Dittos can now make an egg of a random species
World Fire no longer spreads
World Players can't hurt each other; Pokémon battles between players still work
Fixes1
Pokémon Rare-spawn alerts name the Pokémon in bold
Every item that vanished with the vanilla mobs now drops from a Pokémon, the quest book grows by seven chapters, and battles are twice as quick.
Pokémon drop what the mobs used to
Cubone and Marowak drop Wither Skeleton Skulls, Decidueye drops arrows (even Arrows of Slowness), Sandygast drops soul sand, Gogoat drops goat horns, Cufant drops copper ingots and Hatterene drops Fire Resistance potions. The Swinub line digs up sniffer eggs, torchflower seeds and pitcher pods, and the musical Pokémon (Kricketune, Chatot, Exploud, Toxtricity...) drop music discs.
Two new chapters in the quest book (press U): Create Workshop, 25 quests from your first belt to running a train, and Create Add-ons, 10 quests for Crafts & Additions, Diesel Generators, Enchantment Industry and more.
Track any Pokémon
/track <pokemon> turns your Trainer Card into a tracker. Its arrow leads to where that Pokémon is most common, and the text above your hotbar says how rare it is there.
Rare spawn alerts
When an ultra-rare or legendary Pokémon spawns near you, you hear a chime and chat tells you how far away it is and which way. Legendaries and mythicals are also announced to the whole server, with the name of the player they appeared near. Rare spawns don't despawn for an hour, so there's time to get there. Shrine and altar summons and raid bosses aren't announced.
Improvements7
Quests Five new Pokémon chapters: Raids & Showdowns, Ranch & Breeding, Berries & Cooking, Field Research and Type Collector
Battles Battles run twice as fast
Battles Your whole party shares the Exp. from a won battle (half for the ones that didn't fight)
Pokémon Wild Pokémon are level 1 up to your team's average level
Pokémon Wild Pokémon only attack you unprovoked if they're at most 3 levels above your best Pokémon
Spudsdex Rarity tags (common, uncommon, rare, ultra-rare) on every Pokémon and drop
Pack The CurseForge app works again: see Option 3 in the join guide
Fixes3
Raids Raid crystals can no longer be broken
Quests "Sturdier Spuds" now says plainly that making Andesite Alloy completes it
Quests "A Legend in Your Party" no longer waits for a Path to Legends shrine: any legendary or mythical in your party counts, wherever you caught it
A brand-new world with new terrain, starting in Pewter City. Your inventory, ender chest, Pokémon, Pokédex, TMs and advancements came along; builds stayed in the old world.
Action needed: 1.1 needs the new pack. Install it as a new instance from the join guide.
Trainers and badges
Trainers roam the world and gym leaders hand out badges. Wins pay Spudbucks, which you spend at the Tater Trader.
A world without vanilla mobs
No vanilla monsters or farm animals: Pokémon drop their loot instead. Difficulty is Normal, so hunger still matters and aggressive Pokémon can still attack.
Improvements6
World Towns and Poké Centers to explore, and Waystones for fast travel
Server Backpacks and proximity voice chat
Quests A quest book (press U)
Server Keep Inventory is on, flying is allowed, and there's no spawn protection
World The world border is gone, so the whole Kanto road (Vermilion, Cinnabar...) is reachable
Spudsdex The Spudsdex launched: where every Pokémon spawns and what it drops (type /trigger dex in game)
Fixes2
Trainers Gym badges go straight into your inventory instead of dropping at the leader's feet
Quests "Choose Your Journey" can be completed (it was stuck for everyone)
